comcastoffers.com - to good to be true?

May 5, 2005 12:27PM PDT

I was searching around the internet for Comcast cable internet service and came across this website. It states that I can get Comcast cable internet service for a 6 month introductory rate of $19.99 instead of the $42.95 rate that Comcast is charging. Also comcastoffers.com is offering a free Motorola modem and $50 cash back. Is this a legitimate offer or is it truly too good to be true?

Probably. . .

That's how I started with Comcast. Didn't get modem or cash (it wasn't offered). But I'm totally happy with Comcast. Since I got it two years ago at 2 Mb/s there have been two upgrades. I now have a 4 Mb/s speed. But you need to verify the final price. Is it for Comcast cable TV subscribers or anyone. I use Dish Network and do not have Comcast cable TV. MY cost is $54.00/month.

Good information is here http://www.broadbandreports.com/

HTH,

use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

It's doesn't seem all that good, so it's probably true...

My Earthlink cable via Time Warner charges $19.99 for the first 3 monthes and $41.99 afterwards. It runs at 5Mbps, and I got a Touchstone modem with internet phone sockets. No cash back, but not bad, everything considered.

You need to shop around. Cable internet services offered by the cable company itself will usually charge more if you don't have TV, but companies like Earthlink doesn't.
