Comcast Speed
Mar 31, 2007 1:15PM PDT

Comcast - 6.00mbps download 768 kbps upload
T-1 1.54mbps download 1.54 mbps upload
DSL .768mbps download .268kbps upload

These are roughly the advertised speed. Speeds aren't guaranteed for cable or DSL.

To test the speed you get, go to www.speakeasy.net/speedtest

Personally, I got 2.25 mbps down and 368 kbps upload on the test, and I have Comcast. It's way faster than T-1 or DSL.

Don't forget FIOS.......

I have the "slowest" package in this area and my speeds are 10.4 down/1.5 up. http://ciseweb100.cise-nsf.gov:7123/

Fantastic reliability too,I'm well into my 2nd year without 1 min of down time.
