Comcast is slow

Jun 16, 2012 8:36AM PDT

Comcast when tested says it is going through fast, but this is just not true. The web sites dont show, then you hit the retry an it works after 10 times and 3 or 6 minutes.

And you are sure no hijacks are involved?

There's a lot to go over from connecting directly to the Comcast modem to scanning for malware to trying another DNS.

I've had Comcast and for me it was just fine. However you do encounter folk that have one PC and will need support beyond the usual.

Not following you

You are saying the speed tests are saying you get fast speeds but then something about having to click 6-10 times.

Could you maybe explain a little clearer. Also posting signal levels and error logs by going to 192.168.100.1, can be helpful if your modem supports this. What speed are you subscribing to, and what are your tests getting, also what all do you have as a home network [wireless, etc..]?

Do you have TV are there problems with that as well, on demand issues? Certain channels tile a lot over boxes, look fuzzy/snowy without a box?

Going to require more info if you want help.
