"Is there a way I can forward a port on the gateway to port 1 "...
No. But you could look at post 17 or so about how to use more than one router to save yourself from an unsupportable double, triple NAT routing double lindy two and half pike configuration.
There is no way I'd subject myself to such a setup but I could fix it with a little help from our forum sticky note.
I have a two workstation network setup on a Belkin Wireless G router. One workstation is wireless the other is hardwired. We just got Comcast highspeed internet installed and they put in a Comcast Business Gateway (made by SMC). I want to setup PCAnywhere on the main computer (the one hardwired). I know what to do on a standard cable modem - but this gateway is giving me fits - since it is like a router itself. I have the port forwarded to the pc on the Belkin router...but not sure what to do on the gateway. My Belkin is the only thing connected to the gateway. Internet and network work great. Is there a way I can forward a port on the gateway to port 1 (the port the belkin is plugged in) and then forward again on port 1 of the belkin (the one the PC is plugged into)????
PLEASE HELP! Maybe I'm going about this all wrong. THANKS!
