comapct,large LCD camera

Sep 23, 2004 4:28AM PDT

Am looking for first digital camera. Compact and large screen (2" plus) LCD, 4-5 MP are criteria. First looked at Sony DSC T1 but sounds like picture quality not that good. Also looking at Sony DCS W1 but low light quality seems to be an issue. Any other suggestions?

Low lighting conditions affect film users too. It's an issue that is not going away...

I'll note I like my Kodak 6490 which I picked up refurb at 300 bucks with the dock. And would consider the 7440 as well.

How about the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ20. It has a Leica lens ,12 x zoom,35 m/m film camera equivalent to 36 - 432 m/m.F2.8 ,also a 2" lcd display. 5 million effective pixels
