comand to format Hard drive

Would someone please type the comand required to format my hard drive. Please type it exactly as required to acomplish this. My O/S is Windows 2000 Professional. Is this likely to get rid of my virus?
Have found 14 infected files, all Trogan related.
Thanks for any help.
Bill

Given you can't do this step, take no offense that you may have extreme difficulty installing this Professional OS. Microsoft will not fetch or install your motherboard drivers if need be.

I'd consider working on your issues rather than create a non-operational machine.

Definitely as the others say

Just get rid of the infections. No need for reformatting. That's exactly what the first [crappy] level of tech support tells you to do, so that they don't have to think.

If any specific one is difficult to remove, simply post in the Virus forums here and you will get fantastic help.
