Column headings

Apr 19, 2007 6:36AM PDT

I have been trying to format my Excel worksheet so that the column headings appear on each page but can't find any way to do this. It said I could 'print' them on each page, but when I put the letters of each column in the box it said it was wrong. I don't just want to print them on each page, I want them on each page on the computer.

This worked on computer screen, and I can see the headings all the way down, but it does not print out. I tried going into Page set up and 'Sheet' but don't know how to make it print the headings on each sheet.

On the Sheet tab of File>Page setup (you're on track) fill in $1:$1 if you want the first row to appear as the top row on each printed page. And $1:$2 if you want the first 2 rows printed as the top rows on each printed page.

Hope this helps.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! If only Microsoft would explain how to fill in the boxes, I tried everything but never thought of using a dollar sign. I am most grateful.
