Colorful mosaic and cracking sound on VCD

Oct 27, 2009 12:08PM PDT

I recorded some home made videos on CD-R using a CDwriter. When they were first made, they seemed alright.

But now when I played back on a DVD ROM, I get random colorful mosaic on the picture and sometimes cracking sound too.

With one particular VCD, when I played it the first time, it was perfect. But when I played again, I got mosaic all over.

The CDs look perfectly clean without any dust or scratches.

Would appreciate if someone can tell me what the problem is and how to get rid of it.

Thank you very much.

Guet.
