I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.
If the set is only 1/2 year old, you may still be under warranty and you may qualify to have your set repaired free of charge.
If you're in the U.S., call 800-SAMSUNG and see about having your unit inspected under warranty.

I have a Samsung Series L6 / 650 LCD TV. The TV is one year 1/2 years old. A couple of months ago colorful vertical lines appeared. After a few hours they disappeared. They reappeared once again a few weeks later and again disappeared. TThe lines are back again and now won't go away. The lines affect the viewing screen when watching cable or a DVD therefore it is not a cable/internet connection problem. . Please help with any ideas. I have disconnected the connections and reconnected (including power to the back of the set). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Please be specific with any repair ideas, I am a girl and a poor girl to boot. I can't afford to call a service person...Thanks in advance...
