Question

Color Issues

Oct 9, 2015 10:46AM PDT

I bought a new LG 60" (LED) to replace another LG 55" (LCD). The old TV worked (still works) superbly so I expected that the new one worked similar (differences in color and saturation expected, but nothing to concern about). Among other uses, I had a PS3 via HDMI-1080p and I loved the image quality.

To my surprise, when I did the TV replacement and started to play I found that the red color is too intense. Compared to the previous 55", the this color seems to radiate from some solid objects/text and edges became blurry as well. The second surprise is that some elements in the screen look highly pixelated and that did not happen in the previous TV either.

Naturally, I thought that the TV needed some adjustment, but after several hours of trying, I could not get even close to the quality of the 55" image.

Then I played some movies via PS3 (Bluray), and this time the red issue did not appear, one could say that the image was fine, as expected.

I don´t know exactly what´s going on but... is there any way to improve the image quality?
