Color and Video Display problem

I defragged myhard drive last night and ME came up after rebooting 16 colors and 640 x 480. I am unable to
restore to 16 bit colors and 764 x 1068. Upon closing
ME error message ccurs. Mixghost caused error in
OLE32.DLL and KERNEL32.DLL. Can any body help me.
pentium II 333 MHz DELL.

First, don't do anything but shutdown, pull the AC cord, count to 20 and put the AC back in and reboot. It could be a temporary issue.

Next, goto Dell.com, download your video drivers and reinstall those.

I'm back to normal now. This is what I did. I disabled "mixghost" with task manager, changed my display settings (color and screen area) and rebooted.
I also had to adjust the screen area on the monitor. This worked. I'm back to normal. It's really weird but I panic when the computer acts up.
