I'm not quite sure what you're talking about but the % -and usually it's a 20% - is caused by file names with spaces. files name.html for example will appear online as files20%name.html.
If that is not what you mean, maybe you can explain better - There isn't too much these days that gets done in DOS.
Just what, in something such as %temp% does the % indicate.
Thought that I once saw in DOS that it was clled a delineator, however, no matter what, I never understood it.
Can anyone explain the general use of bracketing with the percent sign??
