Question

Coax to HDMI Converter? Getting rid of cable

Aug 10, 2017 11:54AM PDT

Is there a coax to HDMI converter that is available to purchase? I am getting rid of cable and installed an HD antenna on my roof. I have a wall mounted TV in the basement and the previous owner only ran a HDMI cable from the TV to the closet where all of my components are stored. This is not a problem with cable because the cable box is in the closet and I used the HDMI cable from the cable box to the TV. I'm not sure if there is a product available that can perform the same function as the cable box to transmit the HD antenna channels. Snaking a new coax cable through the ceiling is not an option because the ceiling is drywalled and the floor joist run perpendicular to where the new cable would have to be installed. Any ideas?

Thanks

to use with the HD antenna, or your distance and clarity will be cut in half or more. Some HD antenna systems already come with it.
