Question

CNET Website "Access Denied" after reformat

Hi Guys,

I've been using CNET for years but only as a spectator until now. Alas, it's the first time I've not been able to find the answer to my Problem.

Situation:
I just reformated Windows 10 on my Asus, 64 Bit

Issue: When visiting CNET I now get this error:
"Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/cnet-com-gives-me-access-denied/" on this server.
Reference #18.5db3f748.1509455854.1aa420b8"

Note:
I only have this issue since reformatting, and weirdly, only on Google Chrome on my Notebook. I am currently using Edge (yuck) to write this post. No issues with Chrome on my phone.
I have tried all variations of cnet.com /etc but nothing works.

Oh, just had another idea and checked; in Incognito it also works fine.

I'm a newbie with writing Posts so I'm sorry if I left anything out! (Or if I posted this in the wrong place d'oh!)

Thanks in advance!!

encounter the "Access Denied" again. The engineers may have found what maybe causing it and did a little tinkering to see if a fix would stop this from occurring.

Please let me know if this problem still occurs.

Thank you!

Thanks Dafydd, yes please let me know...

In reply to: No problems with Chrome now.

This problem is intermittent so it's difficult to troubleshoot and can occur anytime so I hope what ever they did, stops it completely.

My fingers are crossed!

If this occurs again, can you clear your cookies to see if that resolves it?

but it seems to have worked.

Just checked back and received the error again so deleted Cookies & Cache and so far so good, the error disappeared. Quite surprised that that's the fix considering I just reformated and newly installed o.O
Thanks tho !
