Question

CNET video

Sep 1, 2016 9:07PM PDT

I have a Mac Pro w/ OS X and can watch YouTube video content w/o issues, along w/ Netflix content, but can't watch video content on the CNET site.
The Adobe Flash player is current. I am sure this is a simple fix, but so far no luck on my end.

Clarification Request
Let's check something basic.

I see this when an Adblocker is active. The videos seem to detect that and won't play.

Did not expect a reply this quick, so thanks for your response. OK, I understand this when I use Windows where Google is my start page on my old comp.
On this Apple, Safari is the default. As far as I know, AdBlock is not installed as an extension. However there is a thing called uBlock to the left of my browser.....I wonder if this is the culprit, and if so how to defeat it for c/net. I tried to defeat it in what is called a "whitelist", but did not work....so there must be a step-by-step of some sort. Thanks for any help.

you should disable any and all ad blocking addons to see if it is causing the problem.

I figured it out.....simple. The more I play w/ this Mac....even though it is a learning curve.....it makes Windows seem like ancient tech.
Since this comp came w/ Windows 7 Pro imbedded through VMware Fusion, I rarely go there except to update.
Apple's system is so much better.....so, I am wondering if Microsoft will catch up w/ their across all platforms new and improving Windows 11.
Although I will admit last year when Microsoft tried unsuccessfully to force Windows 7 users to install Windows 10.....I chose not to which left me and I am sure many other users w/ a very negative impression of Microsoft's heavy tactics.

I have uBlock Origin and if that's on and default

Various items on CNET do break/not work.

I have not experimented with uBlock long enough to figure out how to configure it to allow CNET videos so I just toggle it off when needed.
