CNET updates

I download three recommended download's Winrar, Malware and Spybot.Stated OK and I restarted by computer and said those three needed to be updated. I just did.

MBAM and Spybot (the second is not recommended any more by the mods of these forums) need updated definitions, just like your antivirus. No issue there.

I don't know about updates for Winrard. I use 7Zip (that's free and does read rar-files, so why pay?). But if it needs updates, why not do it? Firefox updates once a month, Google programs update automatically. Why care?
