Question

CNET TechTracker

Mar 3, 2013 7:53PM PST
I'm still receiving pop-up messages from CNET's TechTracker that updates are available. One of the updates is SuperAntiSpyware; the latest version is 5.6.1014 so I updated it last week.

I received another message this morning from CNET TechTacker and it's still showing my SuperAntiSpyware is out of date. It isn't; how long does it take TechTracker to update and when will I quit receivng these pop up messages?

in upper right corner. You will see "my account settings" on the right side. Click on "Update my Download.com preferences" and turn it off.

I went ahead and removed it from my laptop computer a few days ago. Has it also been removed from CNET? I was looking for it this morning; I was trying to update some items on this Dell desktop PC that I haven't used in about a month and I couldn't find TechTracker anywhere on CNET.

Yea I found it this morning; I did attempt to install it again because I did like the summary list showing everything I had installed on my computer from CNET but when I attempted to install it again today my McAfee Site Advisor popped up; code yellow; warned me that the download might contain malware so I quickly hit "cancel".
