We talked about this on the podcast. We deliver the video to them on tape so nobody here knows why they are DRM'ed.
Hi,
Using my broadband connected Series 2 Tivo, I requested the new downloadable CNET product reviews. They are actually really cool and Molly Wood does a great job in the opening of the review show.
However, when I tried to use my Tivo2Go to download the CNET review show, it is not allowed because it is DRM'd! In Tivo2Go, the CNET product reviews have a little red circle with line through where a checkbox would normally be. On my Tivo, it says that (paraphrasing) by choice of the rights owner, copying this content is not allowed
I normally use my Tivo2Go to download shows and then convert them for viewing on my iPod using Videora's Tivo to iPod convertor.
Isn't ironic that the only show on my Tivo that discusses handheld video players is also the only one that I can't download and put on a handheld video player!
