Over in the CNET Spyware Forum we have for years advised against multiple apps like that.
Major Geeks allows you to install such too. I think you took offers on some other software noted on the page but I can't tell from your post.
Some folk learn this first hand, some read about it, some feel that installing any app should be free from risk.

I updated Advanced System Care and it took me to CNEt where two other programs were downloaded as well. THIS IS DANGEROUS! Certain programs, if two are on a computer, are in conflict. Does CNet care? NO IT DOESN'T.
Now my computer won't run as it usually does. As far as I'm concerned, I'm blocking CNet from my computer anmd sticking with Major Geeks, as I should have done when I updated ASC. At least they treat me with respect there.
CNeet is dangerous!
