CNET discussions and comments section.

Recently I stopped receiving discussion and comments in various Cnet areas. Is this just me or is this web wide. I use Comcast and have Firefox on laptop and IE8 on desktop.

Can you please tell me what you mean by "I stopped receiving discussion and comments"? Is it CNET email notifications of replies or likes to your comments or is it Forum tracked discussions that you stopped receiving?

Please let me know, so I can take a look.

FYI I am moving this discussion to the Forum Feedback forum.

Hi Lee, I have been trying Cheapskates on different devices.
My normal machine is a laptop running XP pro with Firefox, I put Firefox on it about 10 days ago.
I have a desktop PC using XP pro and IE8.
Both of these I do not get the comments.
I tried on my BB playbook and did get the comments although pretty slow.
Tried on an old PC with XP home and IE8 and it initially did not show comments, then after about 5 minutes did.
I am using different anti virus software on all machines.

I did not see any reply to my last post, however I have solved the problem by running some spyware / malware programs. I cannot say definitively what the problem was but I can now see the comments on both affected comps. The guide I used was the one to remove the Chitka virus by

sorry I must have gotten side tracked and never responded to you.

So to clarify, you are saying that the possible cause of you not being able to see the comments in article is because of the "Chitka virus"?

No, I said I used the routine of running various anti malware / spyware / virus programs which were used to eliminate the Chitka virus and this eliminated whatever was not allowing me to see CNET comments. I do not know what virus / malware etc was on my machines, just that it is now gone.

Thanks, just glad you are able to see comments again. Wish I knew what it was that was causing this so I could tell others if it were to happen to them.

Thanks again,
