cnet color: can individual's

change computer settings to deepen the blue.

Windows xp sp2 firefox

New color of post are a medium blue and strains the eyes.

Is there a way to change these colors from within the computer and not effect other viewers.

Have tried changing in firefox to system colors but then I lose the read and unread colors.

Have 20" Dell dvi monitor tried changing setting. That did not help. Would changing monitor to vga make any difference.

Changed text size but then that defeats the purpose of having a large monitor.

Thanks for your comments

I don't think so

as it is apparantly a new website designed by CNET. Incidentally, I've been looking, but can't find any feedback option, as i agree, the new look is far too light, in fact I would venture an opinion and say that the old colour style was OK.

All of a sudden there are about 33 post in feedback about the new design.

Mostly about fonts size and color.

Maybe they will fix it.

In the meantime I guess my trifocals will have to suffer.

Blue's nice. But light/medium blue on a white/light gray background doesn't work for me.

Perhaps a very dark, almost black, blue would have worked.

I'm also getting a weird web page flash in Firefox whenever a new forum page loads. It doesn't happen in IE. It's very disconcerting.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
