Question

CLP365W not automatically waking up on print request

Apr 9, 2013 6:03PM PDT

I've previously managed to get my CLP365W connected to a network in infrastructure mode, and have it automatically 'wake up' when any new print job was sent to it. This was working day after day, sometimes with several days between print jobs.

I recently had to reset my access point and went through the whole CLP365W network set up process again. Now the printer doesn't seem to want to wake up unless I manually turn it on and off again. This partly defeats the whole wireless feature.

Can anyone help here ? I'm sure it must be a setting somewhere but I can't find it in the set up process documentation

Thanks

Hi jcridge,

Thanks for your question! Since the problems started when you reset the network, I'm going to guess that there may be some setting on the access point or router that prohibits those kinds of commands as a form of network security.

like the idea of checking the router

Many thanks ! I will try checking the router too.
However, I've also discovered the Sync Thru web service provided by Samsung + some
I've successfully logged in and can now see the settings that I believe I should be able to change.
I'll give it a go ...

CLP-365W not waking up for print requests

I am having this problem too from Day 1.

The printer prints fine from power on and for a period of time after that, but once its gone into some sort of sleep mode, the only way to get it to print again is to turn it off and back on again, rubbish!

I have logged into SyncThru to make sure autopower off is disabled.

Quickly saying "Rubbish" is a bit harsh ..

I don't think its harsh at all, this failure to work properly is just another issue to add to the list I have had with Samsung products not working properly or failing prematurely, I'm fed up with it.

Having to keep power cycling a printer because its incapable of waking up and working properly is a fundamental failure of very basic functionality!

Same experience

I hate to say im in the same boat. I finally found where to turn off the sleep function (and enable wake event) and the stupid printer still will not function as it should.
Still needing a power cycle to wake it in most cases.
Contacted Samsung and was told i should provide more details, upon doing so no response.
Loved my CLP-500, sadened by this experience.

Thanks god their phones work as advertised!
