Clouding issues and firmware update help

Mar 30, 2009 10:12PM PDT

This is my first post on the CNET forums, so let me start by saying I have always been a big fan of Samsung Tv's and have never had any kind of issue with my Samsung products. That is until I bought my LN52A850 hdtv. I bought my first 850 in October along with a T240 monitor to go with my new pc. The monitor has not had an issue but I returned my first 850 in november due to vary bad clouding issues and replaced it with a second 52A850. Around the the end of Feb. I started noticing the tv clouding and it got worse by the day. It got so bad that the right half of the screen started looking greyed out. Geeksquad came out and had to order another pannel for the tv to fix the issue. The pannel was replaced last Thursday and the picture is showing black again instead of grey but I can see the clouding starting to show up again!!! I am hoping a firmware update might help to stop the clouding but I can't find any firmware info on Samsungs website where it was before. My tv is an LN52A850 and the software is( MODULE:T-SPHAUSC-1004.0,MICON:T-SPHAUSS-1003SDAL3.5.2-TzSpDm_US0717-9Cool. I have seen posts from people using a newer SW verson then I have and read some posts saying the verson I have caused clouding after they upgraded to it. Can anyone please provide the new update for me to download or help me in anyway???

Thankyou for your time and help

I forgot to mention that when I use my xbox360(which is connected to the tv using a componentvideo input)if I use the dynamic picture mode shadows have a blueish hugh but if I use standard and do some fine tuning it goes away. It did the samething with the old pannel also.

Also can anyone tell me what flashlighting is???

Thanks

might not be clouding issue

After reading a few posts in the forums I think my issue is a flashlighting issue and not a clouding issue. The previoue set/pannel had white blouches in the corners as well as all through the center of the pannels. The new pannel is lighter on the sides/corners only so far but the bottom left corner is is the lightest and is becomming an issue. Is there a way to fix this with out having the pannel replaced again??
