I'd been considering the possible merits of trying an SSD and using Acronis to clone my WD 10000 RPM drive to such. My Acronis version is 2010, BTW. Some reading I've done speaks of partition alignment issues that could occur which would result in disappointing performance and the recommendation is to do a clean install and let Win7 deal with the alignment. It may be that the newest Acronis version handles SSD drives better but I can't speak to that. Of course any new version will be touted as being far better than the previous. I like Acronis but will hold of migrating to SSD using a cloning method until I can understand some of the published pitfalls of doing so this way.
