Ghost is a great software, why wouldn't you use it?
Whatever is your reason, go to www.google.com and type "clone hard drive" and you'll find lots of software and "how tos" good luck!!!

Many drive makers give you such software. I'd note such but your post left out the make of the new drive.

Copying Data only?
Oct 26, 2004 3:02PM PDT

You need cloning software if you want to copy the whole HD content (OS, Software, your Data, etc.)

You said that you want to transfer your data only, so you don't need cloning software..
--> 'i just want to transfer data from my old hard drive to my new one and have it work! thanks'--

1. Install your OS and install your software in the new HD
2. Make your old HD as a slave...
3. Copy your Data
4. Do whatever you want with the old HD.

good luck
