If somebody/something corrupts data or deletes files on HD2:
RAID 1: These changes will be duplicated on HD3.
Clonezilla: The disk image on HD3 will be unaffected.
It's possible that somebody/something could corrupt or delete your disk image files on HD3. I recommend saving the image to an external USB or eSATA drive that can be unplugged for safety.
Motherboard ASUS A7n8Xe Deluxe
AMD 2GB CPU
HD1 8GB IDE Maxtor Windows XP Home
HD2 80GB SATA WD Mandriva Linux GRUB
HD3 80GB SATA WD Mandriva Linux
HD2 is a fileserver with data to be backed up regurarly.
I want to mirror/clone HD2 to HD3 on a regular basis.
Do I need RAID1 or just use an app like Clonezilla
in case of a crash on HD2?
