Politics in motion, whatever works, incl e-mail.............

Going a bit off topic, but since you mentioned Clinton, and let me say upfront that I feel Bill Clinton's term in the White House is in the past and should remain so. Rehasing it now can serve no purpose. I saw a cartoon the past few days that shows Bill C sitting in front of a TV, that was blaring 'liars and crooks', and Bill C was thinking...why is he picking on myself and Hillary. In my warped sense of humor I thought it funny, without political bashing.

Yes and no about Clinton

...let me say upfront that I feel Bill Clinton's term in the White House is in the past ...

True enough, and sometimes is invoked when perhaps shouldn't. But sometimes it is relevant to a discussion, or counterpoint to other points.

But this post is about his and his wife's current activities so is not dragging up the past per se.

But by taking a front position, they are going to put him and as a former president his presidency back into the discussion even more. His, and those encouraging him to participate, choice.

He even brings his past into the equation himself-

"You and I have made history together before," Mr. Clinton wrote. "It's time to make some more."

I agree with your thinking.

I just hate to see time and effort spent on rehashing old bashing when it has no direct link to todays subjects.

Hi Del:

Of course there are those of us who believe that this is precisely the reason such bashing continues.
