Question

Click/drag in Yosemite

Jun 30, 2015 1:01PM PDT

Hi all,

In my old MBP (OS X 10.6.Cool I could use one finger click and drag to highlight text, or to move a window around. Despite looking around a lot I am unable to get the trackpad in Yosemite to do this for me. The only way now seems to be to hold down the trackpad with one finger to do the same actions. Not only is this inconvenient but it is also making for a lot of “missed" actions. Any workaround?

I have got used to f.lux and its suppression of blue light towards the late evening. Can someone comment on the use of f.lux and its effects on the display? Specifically, will "forcing" the display light towards yellow harm the display in any way?

I am using a laptop messenger bag to carry the laptop. Is it better to let the laptop stand on its hinge end, or should this be towards the top? I am afraid that the hinge will loosen up as a result of any pressures.

Thanks!
