Question

click-drag w/mouse wheel doesn't work

Around April, Lee Koo said he was going to find out why the ability to press the mouse wheel and scroll up/down the page didn't work.

I use this option constantly throughout the day. Every time it doesn't work, I say, "Oh, cr*p, it's CNet" and when I look at the website name, sure enough, it's CNet.

I haven't been able to find an answer and would REALLY appreciate it being addressed.

As a related problem (which has been googled by many for years), the Windows mouse setting "scroll x-lines or one page at a time" keeps reverting to x-lines at a time, no matter how often it gets changed to one page at a time. So, I've been conditioned to use the mouse wheel press & drag on all web sites.

I have filed a ticket for this already. I know this feature is important for you and a few others, and we will do our best to investigate and address it. With a site as big as ours, we prioritize bug fixes according to its urgency and our bug queue is quite large. While all bugs are important to us, this particular bug unfortunately is not a high priority on the list. Not that you aren't important, it just that it has to compete with all the rest of the bugs that are in the queue. So I hope you understand. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Click-drag autoscrolling doesn't work on CNET

OK - I know it's not a big hairy problem for CNET but it's still a BHP for me (6 months later). I did more research and found a Chrome extension called Autoscroll that actually DOES restore the Autoscroll settings to CNET's web pages. Maybe your programmers could look to see if they disable Autoscroll in their web page settings for some reason. Autoscroll extension
