Clever Dog WIFI Cameras Problem

I have 3 Clever Dog Wi-Fi cameras and they have been working very well for the last year however since last week the cameras are being recognised by the Android app but cannot connect to the WiFi. I do not know why.

Clarification Request
Problem connecting cleverdog cameras

Good day. I have a problem connecting my two cameras. I changed my internet provider,so i installed a new wifi router. Since i did that my two cameras could not be connected. I did not knew what to do to connect them , so i signed out and then signed in with a new email and tried to add the cameras from the start. When i connect my camera with the power supply both of the indicators are in steady blue colour. When i press the wifi button for three seconds,nothing changes. The camera is shown on my android smartphone wifi connection,but it cannot connect using 11111111 What should i do?

Hi, I used the tip below and it worked. You need to unplug, press the reset button and plug back the power. Wait for the red light to come on twice. Once the blue light is able to flash again it means it's working. IF the blue light doesn't flash, it means it's stuck on the old setting for some reason. You can only get it to work once it starts flashing blue. Hope this helps.

This method of reset worked. The cleverdog's version of re setting never worked. It says to hold reset for 20 seconds. That is wrong. Your method is correct and it worked.

I had the same issue and have resolved it.
Cleverdog camera is very fussy about power supply you use. It must be 5v and at least 2A. I found anything less and it will not reset whatever you do..

Resetting Issue

Hi, unfortunately I can't reset my camera doesn't matter what! It just refuse to reset.
Use to work, I just unplugged and is no working since. I've tried everything.
Any idea what I can do?

Can you please see the router if the IPs's are being block.
try using a direct access via mac address filtering on router.

if not then the issue is on the router or in your firewall. Grin

mine was working this morning but not this afternoon. Cannot even sign into the app as it says not network connected

I am having the same problems! Lost connection to the camera this afternoon. Signed out of the app to reset but now cannot sign back in. I get the same error ‘not network connected’

Cameras worked perfectly for the longest time. Then today cannot even log in... must have server issues. I don’t think it’s the cameras themselves

i have had no response yet but can i suggest everyone emails them so they can see how annoyed we are or they can refund the cost of our cameras,

its the Chinese servers that are down...wait until they back up all the videos from your home then reboot., they can take up to several hours before pirating your passwords, videos and possibly even your files from computers so be patient.

Please make sure you use correct power supply otherwise it wont reset. Must be 5v and at least 2A..

i deleted the app and downloaded again and it asked a security question and added the cameras again and hey presto its all working. 2 steady blue lights on the front of cameras

I couldn’t get it to work for the past 2 days. We have it set up on 3 different mobiles. I, of course logged out and tried to log back in and it won’t even let me log back in. On the other two devices, it says not network connected.
I bought 3 of these within the last two months and am throughly not pleased that it isn’t working. I can’t even log in!!
Has anyone had any luck either getting it to work OR getting answers from support..

Clever Dog Camera Fix

After reading several posts on google I thought i had tried everything... until i decided to dismantle the device and found a reset switch which is right next to the Micro USB port (with no label).

This resolved my issue of being unable to connect no matter how hard i tried.

You can access this by doing the following:
Make sure the camera is connected to power and the lights are on then Grab a needle (Yes, it needs to be pretty thin) and push it inside the tiny hole just below the MicroUSB Port (or charging socket as you may know it as).

And there you go... something i haven't been able to locate while searching online (Unless i simply missed that information)

Thanks for the fix, couldn't find it anywhere.
I would like to elaborate on your post as I had 2 cameras and both didn't exactly respond to your fix in the same way. Some of my steps may not be rquired but just holding pin in didn't prove enough info.
I tried several times and waitied until wifi went solid red then released the pin, still nothing.
Here are the steps I used.
1. Remove usb cable from camera
2. Insert pin in reset hole below usb cable socket, till I located the switch and hold down, then reattach cable, fidly but doable for most able bodied people. Wait until red light has come on then gone off then come on for a second time.
3. Wait a few seconds, hopefully then the blue wifi light will flash.
4. Add camera as per procedure in app.

The second camera I tried failed to connect, so in this instance I observed the bluetooth connection after going through the first 3 steps above I noticed that my camera DOG-xxxxxx had a message saying Won't automatically connect. I accessed this setting and typed in the password 11111111 (8 1's) at the second time of trying it connected to DOG-xxxxxx and then took me back to setup page where it then prompted me to connect to my home wifi.
This then progressed without further problems.

I almost bought a new camera when mine stopped working back in September due to an "authentication error" that I could not seem to remedy. I looked for a solution online again yesterday and found this forum and your very helpful post. It worked like a charm and once again my camera is working and I can keep track of my little senior dog. Thank you!

Thanks for this, I managed to try this, but whilst trying to reset with a pin , I got the red light one, its just stays on and never goes off until after 3 min I let got at which point it began flashing blue, i attempted connection and it still goes through the connect with 8 1s password loop, phone says its connected but nothing seems to work at all, any suggestions?
