Clearing search history on Google?

Jul 8, 2004 9:43PM PDT

Hi.My name is Frank S.Recently I went out of town and while I was gone some friends watched my house, and it would appear they watched some un-savory websites as well. Now when I go to search for something on Google,if I double click on the search window,it will bring up a list of all the sites that people have been to,including the ones my friends visited. Is there a way I can clear out my search history on Google? To say the least,it would be quite embarrassing if someone came by to look something up on the computer and they saw these "un-savory" searches come up.I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer me in this matter.Thanks,Frank.

There are multiple solutions, but all depend on what browser you use. For IE, under Tools, internet options, various clear buttons are there. Use all that you know about.

Some can use TWEAKUI's paranoia tab feature to clear it out.

If you use the GOOGLE TOOLBAR, click the G icon and a drop down reveals CLEAR SEARCH HISTORY

If you visit GOOGLE's Home Page, when you single click the search bar, the terms searched should drop down. When they do, the first should be highlighted. Repeat hitting th DELETE key until they disappear
