Clearing "my recent documents"

In Windows XP how do I clear the items in "My Recent Documents"? Thanks in advance.

Clearing "my recent documents"

Easy, just go to Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu, click on the Start Menu Tab then click the Cusomise button.

On this page you will have a recycle bin icon, and it says "To remove records of recently accessed documents, programs and websites, click Clear", just click on the button beside it marked Clear, and your recent documents are gone.

redryder, Right click your Start button, choose Properties, under the Start Menu tab click the Customize button, under the Advanced tab click the Clear List button and OK your way out.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
