OS WIN ME

Whenever you load a programme where you have to set parameters ,even though you uninstall, these parameters are stored. I have cleaned the registry using registry cleaner to no avail .

Each vendor, offering and such drops such wherever they want to. You have to reveal the program in question if you hope someone may have tips to clean that particular software.

Usually an e-mail or phone call will reveal what's what and where.

If a person is truly serious about this, they will install REGMON and FILEMON (use Google to locate please) to watch what registry and files a program installs for later use. Truly an experts tool, but it is possible to find out. Many will not do this amount of work.

Was afraid of that.It is most annoying as if you reinstall the software ,the same parameters will come up.
Many thanks

I found a really great reg editor, from the tech tv web site, called regseeker, it gives you a GUI for your registry and makes things much more easy to search for, find, and delete. Also it backs up everything before you delete something. got to www.techtv.com and find "call for help" access the download section and search for "regseeker".

Try Norton Systems Works, leave the defaults (for future installs)use the uninstall feature from nortons and it should find all the files and registry entries that were done, and it will get rid of them.
