Clarification on Panasonic G10 vs V10

I keep reading a lot about the 96hz setting on the V10 to eliminate flicker. Is that only an issue when watching Blu Ray? I mostly watch sports (football). Will I be able to see a difference between the G10 and the V10? Is the color quality the same on both?

At 24p 60hz there is NO flicker at all. Both are good tv's & mostly the same, V10 has better Gama over the G10, some reviews say the V10 has bit better blacks, some say the same. The V10 has more settings too tweek but then the tv (V10 & G10) are very close out of the box in THX and Custom modes there is not much to do.
Both are great tv's.

Samsung?

What are your thoughts on the Samsung B650? I have yet to find a place that has it next to the panasonic to compare side by side. I do like the exterior of the Samsung better.

If you game not good at all.
The V10 is the king of kings, the G10 is just below that, the Samsungs are nice but not as nice as the G10 or V10 but close. If you do get a samsung think of getting a extended warranty (none samsung) there warranties are some of the worse out there and also there customer service is VERY poor. I personly will never deal with Samsung again because I have had too deal with there CS.

to get an extended warranty is by using an AMEX card. I concur after helping friends deal with Samsung in the past. Panny seems to be a little better at least in the CS dept, but YMMV of course. It's too bad really, since the Samsung panel colors are really nice(!)
