Cisco SOHO 91 ethernet broadband router problem

May 20, 2005 6:00AM PDT

I use this router in my office with a file server and 3 computers connected to it and for vpn tunneling. On a daily basis, the (DSL) internet connectivity speed slows down to a crawl, requiring a reset of the router. Once reset, the speed returns to normal. THis is a major problem with vpn use because data access can be incredibly slow making it impossible to work offsite.

So far, I have not been able to find any information about this particular problem on the cisco web site.

Is there a way to resolve the problem?

Have you called them?

Sometimes there's an engineering quick fix that's not on the web site. And only there for those that have the issue.

No, I haven't, not yet

I haven't called them because my tech guy was supposed to and hasn't gotten around to it yet (his philosophy: it's not an emergency because it works, even a little), and he has the account log in info and without that I don't think they will talk to me.
