Question

Cisco ME 3400E Switch used as a router or switch

Sep 6, 2015 3:57AM PDT

Hello,
We have a server located in London which is maintained by a third-party company and we are located in Dubai. My superiors just asked to find out which role, Cisco ME 3400E Series normally plays, a switch or a router. Please help as my career depends on it

Ok thanks man. Still an amateur. No CCNA training. Self-taught man. And also they don't use switches as switch-routers in complex networks right?

Never Mind Maite. This site calls layer 3 switches as switch-routers. Aargghh!! Why was I asked this question? Any idea? 'What role the 3400E plays?'
