Question

Cisco logon failing

Jul 20, 2019 8:32PM PDT

I recertified my CCNA and I'm trying to login to literally any of Cisco's links and this is what happens. Click login > redirects to login page > username auto populates and before I can click anything I get auto redirected > error message "Forbidden, please contact your system administrator". I can't ask this on any Cisco forums because of this auto redirect error. I've tried IE,FF, and Chrome, and it seems as soon as I type my username, and click login, it will forever just auto redirect to the forbidden page.

Ideas?

I see you also posted this question on a Linux forum, including mentioning you tried it on IE. As far as I know, IE doesn't run on Linux.

But that other post has a nice screen print showing this is a message from the Cisco webserver. And that means that it isn't a Windows 10 problem either, so this is another misplaced post. And it means only Cisco can solve it. Better contact them by phone or mail or chat and ask why you aren't allowed to login, of ask your system administrator to do that.

The autologin, by the way, might be solved by deleting a few cisco cookies or trying another browser, another profile of your current browser, another Windows account or another machine. But surely you knew that.

I posted on Linus's forums, which has nothing to do with Linux. Besides them being spelled similar. This question is nothing Linux related. If this question is misplaced, then my apologies for that. When I made the question it only gave me this option on where to place the question. Nothing else.

I did delete cookies so it doesn't remember the login but as just like to redirect me to the forbidden page. Still working on a solution.

Sorry for that. I went to that site again, and found it was comparable with our forums, so my remark about Linux was wrong.

Strange to see you only could post here. Just today there was another member who said he could only post in Computer Newbies, while he has 30 years of experience. When I go to https://www.cnet.com/forums/ and under "Create a new discussion" click on the field to select a forum, it lets me choose from all 50 or so forums we have.

Anyway, if Cisco says it's says access is forbidden for your account, only they can tell why and change it. There's nothing you can do yourself to fix it.

Fortunately, I managed to find just 1 phone number that says account support, but they are not open on weekends. So fingers crossed for Monday. I'll update the forum when I get results.

So the person on the phone told me to email web-help@cisco.com, which I did and after a few days of emailing each other back and forth, They did something on there end to fix my login issue. They said they synced me to "DSX". Whatever that is, it worked.
