Circle Home 1st Generation vs Circle Home Plus

We have a Circle Home 1st Generation that we got about a year ago. I've been recommending it to other parents at our school for managing device usage for elementary age kids but people who go to buy it recently are saying now it's called Circle Home Plus and requires a subscription. Just wondering if anyone has the Circle Home Plus and what you get with the subscription vs the older 1st Generation Circle Home that didn't require one? Thanks!

It's mostly from folk that have posted here and their children that want ways to get around the Circle but the subscription is as noted at say Netgear:
" total time limit; creating BedTimes and other OffTimes during the day when the internet is paused; and viewing more detailed usage statistics for a profile."

Since our children have moved out and have their own access, I have no need of such today.

Ok, I see, thanks. They do have a free option for Basic. But if you want more controls you have to subscribe to Premium.

The 1st gen one we have included all those controls for the price of the device. Hope our original one never dies : )

When I needed such

I made do with just turning off WiFi when it was late which was a basic feature in the router. So today I don't do that as they grew up.

It only has to last so many years.
