You can try the usual canned air to the vents in case dust has built up but outside of warranty this is just a sad story. Given there is one board inside and no schematics, self repair is unlikely. Also for the cost of the board you can get something else.
Samsung Chromebook 2, model XE500C13, just over a year old. Recently has started to freeze and then reboot on its own. Happens while browsing the internet, etc. Tried powerwash and reinstalling OS from scratch, disabling all extensions, guest login, but still happening. Samsung wants me to send it in for repair, but not going to do that for a $200 machine. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Could it by a hardware issue that I could fix myself or is it just ready for the trash.
