Question

Chrome redirects, only after I login

Mar 15, 2017 11:23AM PDT

A very strange problem has taken my Chrome - I have redirects whenever I visit pages to a certain shmokiads site. The bizarre thing is that after I formatted my hard drive/reinstalled Windows and Chrome, the problem stayed. I only concluded that it's after I log in to Chrome with my username and password. I was right - if I don't log in, there are no redirects. What am I supposed to do??

Yes

I did, it doesn't help. The only "help" is that I don't log in with my Google account.

Sounds like the usual infection.

Remember I take it you know that's a bad site. If the scans noted, along with the reset didn't clear it up AND this is very important you never go back there, then head to bleepingcomputer to get some serious work done.
