Chrome and Chromium

Google Chrome is Based on the open source Chromium Project. I do not think the you are able to use Chromium as a web browser like Chrome. But I could be wrong.

But from what I read from the web site link I gave you. I think Google owns Chromium or at least associated with Google in some way.
