Yes, boys and girls (and those of you who are unsure ), it is getting closer and CLOSER!
Actually, Christmas has become so commercialized it about drives me nuts when I see the trees going up in the store windows and the commercials hitting hard and heavy on TV.
Anyway, I ran across one of my favorite places and that's what reminded me of Christmas shopping.
Someone posted a link to this place some time ago, and I convinced my b/f and kids to get me the 2004 calendar, from which I then carefully removed my favorite ones (eg; Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But it rocks absolutely, too.), mounted them on black paper and framed them.
Extremely cool! Was one of my most favorite gifts. My b/f and I have several of them at our offices at the "horse-piddle" (hospital ) and we rotate them. You could even do this yourself and give the framed ones away as gifts. Spend $7 bucks on the calendar, a few dollars for inexpensive frames, and have 12 gifts ready to go!
No, I'm not affiliated with these guys. Wish I was, they have made a bundle with this "Demotivator" stuff!! LOL The company story is pretty funny. Read some of the stuff on this page:
From the founder:
"Corporate Spin: Sometimes you have to tell it like it isn't"
"I'd like to invite you to learn more about Despair, Inc. by reading the following articles. But I won't, because the information contained herein is as grotesquely spun as the news you enjoy on nightly television.
Consider yourself warned.

Hope I have helped to make someone's x-mas shopping hassles a little bit less this year
