Christmas Shopping!!!

Yes, boys and girls (and those of you who are unsure Wink ), it is getting closer and CLOSER!

Actually, Christmas has become so commercialized it about drives me nuts when I see the trees going up in the store windows and the commercials hitting hard and heavy on TV.

Anyway, I ran across one of my favorite places and that's what reminded me of Christmas shopping.
Someone posted a link to this place some time ago, and I convinced my b/f and kids to get me the 2004 calendar, from which I then carefully removed my favorite ones (eg; Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But it rocks absolutely, too.), mounted them on black paper and framed them.

Extremely cool! Was one of my most favorite gifts. My b/f and I have several of them at our offices at the "horse-piddle" (hospital Happy) and we rotate them. You could even do this yourself and give the framed ones away as gifts. Spend $7 bucks on the calendar, a few dollars for inexpensive frames, and have 12 gifts ready to go!

No, I'm not affiliated with these guys. Wish I was, they have made a bundle with this "Demotivator" stuff!! LOL The company story is pretty funny. Read some of the stuff on this page:
From the founder:

"Corporate Spin: Sometimes you have to tell it like it isn't"
"I'd like to invite you to learn more about Despair, Inc. by reading the following articles. But I won't, because the information contained herein is as grotesquely spun as the news you enjoy on nightly television.
Consider yourself warned.
E.L. Kersten, Ph.D.
Founder and COO"

Hope I have helped to make someone's x-mas shopping hassles a little bit less this year Happy

Apparently they had quite a bit of fun with that:
"At a press conference, Despair's COO, Dr. E.L.Kersten, announced his intentions to sue "anyone and everyone who uses the so-called 'frowny' emoticon, or our trademarked logo, in their written email correspondence. Ever."

"Despair filed suit yesterday in a U.S. District Court in Dallas, alleging trademark infringement against over 7 million individual Internet users. The company has requested separate injunctions granted against each. It is believed to be the largest single trademark dispute in history."

"Kersten then intoned gravely, "Let our message to trademark violators be clear. Whether you are a 4th grade nothing using your momma's AOL account, or you are Time Magazine's "Man of the Year", we are going to hunt you down, and when we do, we're really going to give you something to Sad
