Any product you get is likely the end of the product cycle. No one told you that to hit the low prices you predict what you might sell (1,000,000 units?) have those made and then SHUT DOWN the factory. When you start to run low you think about your next version and what you may include or you may repeat the same model.
I hope this brings to light that worrying about the end of a product cycle is interesting but if this is your concern, nothing on the market could be considered by you.

Hopefully I'm not violating the bylaws, but what can we expect from Creative Labs and iRiver in the next month or two? I'm holding off purchasing a 1GB unit and a 40GB jukebox to see what's coming. Hate to purchase at the end of the lifecycle...
Is there a forum (Cnet or otherwise) that focuses on futures and "heard on the street?"
