Choppy playback watching live sport!?

Hi Guys,

Hopefully you can help me as i've been going around in circles with Virgin Media!!

I pay for 100mb Fibre optic broadband however i only really receive 15-30mb on average... Still enough to stream in HD i would have thought?

My friends all stream the same HD matches absoloutley fine so i'm wondering why i always get a choppy stream?

Is this a router problem or anything i can change?

My mom uses some 2006 Dell and it's choppy. It does play fine less than full screen and since it's a freebie I don't think anything is wrong with choppy playback on an old laptop.

Please re-read your post and think about adding details about your setup and players. Also, why is there a router mentioned? Almost all the Fibre optic ISPs supply the modem and router.
