I've had the HTC Tytn for a few months now. The US doenst really offer good smart/ pda phones yet, I got mine from the UK. http://msmobiles.com/news.php/5368.html
It's basically a laptop that make phone calls with 3G (which Cingular offers, I'm getting 700-900k through-put in Orlando area) Wi-Fi, full QWERTY kb...2Meg cam..hotkeys you can program..
It's expensive, but unlike blackberry, or a Symbian device alot of software is out there for it and I have bee able to surf the web with out pop ups saying my browser doesn't support it.
The Q is ok, but the Tytn has a small footprint that slides its keyboard and then turns the screen for wide viewing.
I couldn't get by without it.
I?m in the market for a smart phone, but I can?t seem to narrow it down. But I do know what I want the phone to do:
*e-mail
*check RSS feeds
*text
*take pictures and e-mail them
*make blog posts
*surf the Web (maps, news, etc.)
I don?t plan on using this for ?business? type stuff, just goofing around and mobile Internet access.
I want it to have a full QWERTY keyboard. I?ve checked out T-Mobile?s MDA, a Cingular phone that looks like the MDA, Sidekick 3, and the Q. I?d get a Sony Mylo if it had a camera and if I was around more WiFi.
I keep coming back to the form factor of the Sidekick. I really dig the large keyboard. But I am unsure if it can handle what I want to do.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
