Choosing a Camcorder

Dec 11, 2005 1:04PM PST

I am trying to choose between a couple of camcorders. Panasonic advertizes both the PV-GS150 and 250 to have the same optical specifications. Yet the reviews seem to point to some differances in the optical and/or digital conversion. The 250 is 3/4" longer which appears to be between the lens and the tape transport. You would think Panasonic would put something in the specs if the changed the coatings on the optics, the way one converts to digital, etc. Does anyone have any idea if there is a difference in optics, video resolution, CCD, or digital conversion on these two models?

Digital camcorder

Hi,

I'm looking for a camcorder that is excellent for indoor/outdoor low light shots. Do you have a suggestion? I'm looking in the price range of $600 to $750.

I'd prefer it records to DVD but I'm not stuck on the idea.
