Right click MYComputer go to properties. Go to ADVANCED tab, go to Startup and Recovery click SETTINGS and click on EDIT.
BE CAREFUL and only remove the line you do not want to see.
Leave the one that works.
Mine looks like this
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
I have just done a new installation of Windows XP Home.
I quick formated the HDD during installation when I wiped out the pre-existing partitions and data contained and created a new partition structure.
Why is it therefore that when I boot my PC I get an option of 2 OS (Windows XP Home and Whistler).
How can I get rid of this - is it a BIOS tweak required and is it normal?
