Child grabs big balloon, floats away. Did angels take him?

I sure hope the boy got out safely on a first touchdown and then it hopped and traveled where it was discovered on a second touchdown.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- - A homemade balloon aircraft floated away from a yard in Colorado after a 6-year-old boy was seen climbing inside, setting off a frantic scramble by the military and law enforcement agencies before the balloon slowly touched down in a field. The child's fate was unclear, and there was no sign of him in the balloon when it landed.

Saw the landing

and the shock when the kid wasn't there.

Just searched and read one link where they're already talking about turning into a criminal investigation.

Personally I hope the kid was messing around the balloon, and when it took off, got scared he'd be blamed and in trouble so he went and hid.

I sure hope he's safe. I'd think even if he was scared, he'd have returned home by now, but maybe if they'd remove all the police cars from near his home, pretend to be nowhere near it, he'd sneak back, if he's around and hiding.

A 6-year-old Colorado boy feared to have floated off in a helium balloon was found safe at his home Thursday, hiding in a cardboard box in the garage attic.

Sheriff Jim Alderman turned to reporters during a news conference and gave a thumbs up and said, "He's at the house." Alderden said an investigator on the scene saw the boy and he was fine, and had apparently been in the attic the whole time.
