Check your Dell purchase

Apr 9, 2010 2:58AM PDT

My daughter recently took delivery of her Dell Inspiron laptop which she ordered after seeing the TV campaign, and asked me to go round to her house to help set up wireless connection etc, and a good job I did. I turned it on to find that Windows Vista basic was installed instead of Windows 7 premium, I also found that it only had 1GB of memory and a 160GB hard drive instead of the 3GB memory and 320 GB drive advertised.
I advised her to phone to complain, they simply said we will collect on monday and then send you a new one, no explanation
If I had not gone round, she would have been left with an inferior product.
The moral is ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER and if you know anyone who has ordered from Dell tell them to check too.
