"Check the authenticity of the battery" (Samsung SC-MX10)

My wife bought me a Samsung SC-MX10 camcorder the other day and upon charging it and attempting to use it for the first time it comes up with a message "Check the authenticity of the battery" and powers off. During this time I'm not able to use any buttons or anything to check anything else. With the camcorder plugged into the wall I appear to be able to use it fully (haven't tested recording, but other stuff works).

I googled the message and couldn't find anything. The battery pack is brand new and has the Samsung logo on it - it came in the box, sealed.

Anyone encountered this or know what causes the message? I did take both the Samsung battery out and the button cell battery out and put them back in, but outside of that I'm out of ideas.

I've never had any issue with such thing. Pack, return, exchange. Just a small amount of time to correct it.

This recently started popping up on my camera's screen too. I removed the battery for a full 24 hours then put the same battery back on and it worked. No "Check the authenticity of the battery" message anymore. Hope this works for you too.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
